MIA in Maryland

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's been a long time since I've surfaced; lost in the Shenandoah Mountains somewhere maybe. Life gets to you and makes you missing in action; stunned somewhere between living and getting to the part where you start living. The The's "This is the Day" has been my theme of late . . .

'Cos it's long sun-laden summer days here, locusts and birds by day, lightning bugs by night, and the rush of existence through it all. But I haven't forgotten the friends of the heroes; just let me get laid up with one major illness or two, and I'll be back in bed writing again . . .

This is a strange summer, but only in good ways so far. It's going so fast.
