A collection of poems about water
I woke up this morning and Jef told me that it's raining in Manila - and that the sound of rain in the darkness makes him sad, and before the day was over it started to rain here, too. And I can't take the song that says...
I don't mind a rainy day It doesn't make me blue like it's supposed to Doesn't make me blue like it's supposed to But I don't like this lonely life It really makes me blue like it's supposed to It makes me blue like its supposed to
...out of my head, even though it's not rainy day but a rainy night.
If you were here, maybe you would lie down next to me in on the floor in front of the window -which is fast becoming my new favourite spot in the house- and listen to the sound the rain makes when it falls on the city. We would look at the orangey sky and the raindrops hanging from the railing and the clothes pegs dangle as they're hit by raindrops. And I think I would stay silent for a change.
