I'll definetely clean my room tomorrow

Yesterday I promised myself I would definitely clean my room today. It's ten past four, definitely has long ago turned into probably and my room only looks a bit worse than it did last night. However I did manage to make myself make a salad instead of just take something out of the freezer and stick it in the oven. It was quite hard to convince myself I should be bothered with it at first... But as I went on it sort of became fun, or, at least, it wasn't sad. And all the while through it I had a line from a song stuck in my head - a song I have never heard of and only know of because Nick wrote about it in September. Nick isn't sure but he thinks the song says "It's going to be a fine night tonight, it's going to be a fine day tomorrow. We will have salad." So as I cut bright green and red vegetables and threw them into the bowl I tried to think of worlds where having salad is a sign of a fine day and not just some accidental and irrelevant decision. I concluded the one I'm living in now is not one of them -except if I close my eyes and dream really hard- but for a change I didn't start contemplating the one I had and lost and how it slipped through my fingers. I just thought that as I got myself there before I will do again and soon the day will come when I will wake up and say it's going to be a fine night tonight, it's going to be a fine day tomorrow. And I'll share my salad with someone.

Now go and read what Nick said because it's lovely!
