Flowers

The other week I noticed the crocuses were back. Bright yellow dots, clustered together, almost lost within sorry looking sea of pale green. Little spots of colour breaking through the dead winter soil, obscuring the tired brown autumnal leaves that lie in heaps at the sides of fences, hedges, and walls.
On Saturday I noticed that the daffodils were flowering big bright brave and yellow. Now when I look closely at the ground there are other spots of colour. Flowers that I don’t even know the name’s of. Such small simple things give me hope. Things can change as long as we keep believing.
