The Frisbee

Sometimes I can’t help but feel that I’m a bit different and that somehow I’m not quite like other dogs. Today when me and the girl went out for a walk we met another dog. Great! I thought to myself!
As much as I love my girl she just doesn’t understand all of the things I want to do and I love it when I meet other dogs who I can have a sensible conversation with.
The other dog was running around and around in circles with a red rubber ring in his mouth. He kept bringing it back to his person who threw it away again. I was puzzled.
“What have you got there?” I asked him.
“It’s a Frisbee” he said proudly.
“Oh” I said not really any the wiser “what do you do with that then?”
“Well I give it to my person and she throws it and then I run after it and bring it back to her” he said patiently.
“Oh” I said, still puzzled “Whys do you do that then?”
“because its fun! I get to run around in around in circles chasing after this toy! There is no other reason!”
“Oh” I said “you know you can just run around and around in circles without chasing a toy, look!”
I started to run around and around in circles to show him what I meant. He watched me for a little while then continued to run after his Frisbee. A while later we parted. We left on good terms but I couldn’t help feeling I was missing something.
“Don’t worry belle one day you’ll find someone as loopy as you!” said the girl.
