rough trade owns my soul

I went to my favourite record shop in the universe today, Rough Trade in London. You have to really search for it though like a rare gem tucked away in the side streets of Notting Hill. The shop itself like all good record shops is shambolic & as one walks in one feels like they have bit hit in the face by a wall of obscure swedish indie bands (that section is to the left by the counter :).

I took my brother with me & he has never really been to what I call a proper record shop before he is pure HMV & Virgin Megastore, I told him what rough trade is like and he found it amazing anyone finds anything they want. He found himself a few things though & I as per normal when I go to Rough trade I spent way more money than I should have.

Every town/city I'm sure has a great little record shop that makes people spend way to much money in... And I'm very very glad that this happens otherwise we all would have to rely on HMV and that certainly would be a bad thing.
