Demon Summer - Burn - Waterside Records
This nicely-packaged single presents two well-crafted and produced songs from the slower and more melodic side of Emo. Present here is the piano-driven radio edit of “Burn” as well as its more guitar-driven and extended album version, separated by the slightly harder and space-y slowburn of “No Feelings No Pain”.

The Morenas - It Shouldn't Mata - Bleach Records
On new single “It Shouldn’t Mata”, The Morenas combine the drive and vocal power of Muse with string and brass accoutrements to good effect. B-side “Say Something Else” is another, more straightforwardly guitar-based and well-crafted song in the same vein.

Riotmind  - Riotmind - demo
“Riotmind” is a nicely-produced demo that starts off more slowly and prettily than one might expect. Opening track “Cold and Confused” is initially piano-driven but builds steadily towards the more intense guitar-driven rockisms the title suggests, on tracks “My Friend Lucifer” and “Revolution Tonight”, and culminating (almost inevitably, one feels) in the full riff-driven rock of “In the Name”.
